The University of Washington will require incoming freshman to complete a course in diversity before graduation in an effort to prepare students for a more global society.

President Obama is speaking live now and called on Congress to stop student loan rates from doubling on July 1st. If the rates double, millions of effected students will have to pay an extra $1000.  He also said that colleges that don’t do enough to keep college cost down should get less taxpayer support.
