Education now plays a large role in creating and preserving class divisions and low income students are finishing college less often, even when they receive higher test scores than their affluent peers.  In fact, there is evidence that low-income Americans have less chances of upward mobility than their counterparts in Canada and Western Europe. Students at for-profit colleges are racking up huge amounts of debt in exchange for an inferior education that doesn’t lead to jobs, while the exes. & shareholders make huge profits. The University of Phoenix announced that it will close 115 locations due to low enrollment rates and a large loss in profits. Well, you know what they say about karma…
