WE AIN’T GOIN’ NOWHERE

The Facts
Recent studies show that the “likelihood of 20-somethings moving to another state has dropped well over 40% since the 80s.” This is due in-part to a lack of opportunity and in-part to the rise of technology.
Why We Should Care
Previous generations of Americans have moved to pursue new opportunity and improve their lives, as immigrants entering the country, heading West toward the frontier, or to booming cities with available jobs. Our generation and others since the 1980s are staying home.
OUR TIME Position
A big, bold initiative like a national job corps would put our generation to work and give us something worth moving for, but is that enough?
